Brandon & Brittani Wedding & EDM PartyThis was an extremely stunning/fun wedding. Brittani and I have been friends for many years and I was very honoured to be there to capture this happy day. Their wedding was very unique in that after dinner, everyone busted out their party outfits and glow sticks and we proceed to have an amazing EDM party. It was truly too much fun!

Haleakala SummitAshley and I had the wonderful chance to travel to the summit of the Haleakala Volcano in Hawaii. This is a state park that looks a bit like the surface of Mars. It is very different than the rest of Maui. On the day that we went up it when the sun was setting it was around 5 degrees celsius. We stayed at the top hiking and photographing for the better part of around 8 hours. We had wanted to stay longer to do some star photos with the observatory in the background. This didn't happen on account of the full moon that rose soon after sunset. So we packed it in and went back down to the beach to warm up. Here are some really stunning shots from our time at the summit.

Death ValleySo Ashley and I were in California and ended up in Death Valley State Park which is an amazing ecosystem that looks like it is straight out of the Middle East. The hottest temperatures we experienced while traveling through the park was 49 degrees celsius, which makes you over heat really quickly (Ashley enjoyed this much more than I did). Some of the sand dunes were very high and we had to hike a bit to see them. The hike in was slightly terrifying as while we were walking along every ten feet or so the dirt would collapse underneath of us and we would step into a hole of some burrowing denizen. It could have been just a mouse but we both were convinced that it belonged to a snake. Anyways some amazing pictures came out of it and I am very happy with them.

A Mountain ElopementAshley and Addison are a lovely couple that decided to elope in Moraine Lake, near Lake Louise, Alberta. The scene was stunning, however it ended up raining for the entire ceremony and all of the pictures afterwards. Ashley was a total trooper, most brides would have fallen to pieces at having to walk through puddles and have their hair get wet, she just hiked up her dress and off we went. The rain did have the upside of getting rid of almost all of the tourists and we generally had the entire lake to ourselves. The pictures turned out amazing in spite of the clouds and rain. Thanks Ashley and Addison for sharing your special day with me.Sat, 26 Apr 2014 17:31:00 +0000
Team Canada CheerleadingSo the International Cheer Union's World Championships is done and I am exhausted! This was an amazing experience to be able to document the teams progression throughout their preparation for this competition. Both teams put in an extraordinary amount of blood, sweat and tears over the last week and I hope that comes through in the pictures I have taken. I have endeavoured to not just take the pretty pictures of the successes but to also document the hardships and failures that were overcome by these teams. In the end Team Canada placed 4th in the all-girl division and 7th in the co-ed division which was a respectable placing considering the fierce competition in these divisions from around the world. I would like to thank all of the athletes, coaches and support staff for letting me take all of the pictures I did.
Here is a breakdown of what goes into covering an event like this.

Lake Louise EngagementAshley and I were lucky enough to photograph the newly engaged David and Jillian. The shoot was in Lake Louise and it was very cold out that day. I was dressed in full snowboarding gear and some how I managed to talk them into taking off their jackets for some of these shots. They are a beautiful couple as you can see and we are very happy for them! Oh and the pictures are EPIC!!!!

Perfect TimingHere is a great shot from the Cobras routine showing just how precise and coordinated teams need to be. In this picture you see 3 girls all doing a toe touch at exactly the same time. In order for this to happen there was a total of 14 people who had to all do their specific jobs in harmony to make that happen. Great job guys!! Click on the picture to see the rest of their routine.Wed, 01 May 2013 03:06:00 +0000
2013 Team Canada Gets Gold! This is a picture of the 2013 Team Canada Cheerleading team (of which I was lucky enough to be a part) 5 min before going on at the Cheerleading World Championships. The hungry/nervous energy was palpable. We were the first team to go on the floor in our division, we were also the 4 time reigning world champions, all I could think about was that I really didn't want to be the guy who broke the streak.
I will be posting more pics and stories from the competition over the next bit so stay tuned!

Freshly Updated Wedding PortfolioFinally I have gotten around to posting some of the photos from the 2012 wedding season. This has been a little delayed due my own wedding in September which took up most of my free time which is normally reserved for photography, for this I have no regrets at all, it was so amazing!! Anyways check out the photos HERE. The pictures below are some gems that I had forgotten about and never posted (this happens more often than I like). This was an amazing summer engagement shoot in the foothills of the rockies. Brittany and Max are a stunning couple to be able to work with.Mon, 08 Apr 2013 02:02:00 +0000

Spring in New YorkSo we were lucky enough to hop on a plane and visit our dear friends Danny and Sheena in Manhattan. They showed us around like a couple of locals and we got to see the non touristy side of the city. Thanks so much to them for letting us crash on their futon! You will be seeing many of the shots I got while we were there up on my blog and in my portfolio.Wed, 06 Mar 2013 03:10:00 +0000
Brooklyn BridgeSo you always wonder why some of the iconic land marks are iconic land marks. Then you see them in person and you understand just why they are. We made a quick trip out to New York and visited the Brooklyn Bridge. Seeing this in person let me appreciate the amazing geometric patterns created by the support wires. It was under construction however I still managed to get some great shots.
